The Treasure Hunt Challenge completely transforms your morning routine by turning the act of waking up into a physical, interactive game. Instead of simply tapping a screen, you must locate specific household or outdoor items (like a 'Cup', 'Chair', 'Shoe', or 'Plant') and verify them using your phone's camera.

Powered by highly-accurate, on-device Machine Learning (ML), this challenge forces you to get out of bed, turn on the lights, and engage your brain's spatial memory to hunt down the requested objects before the alarm sound will yield.

Capabilities

  • Massive Object Library: Choose from an expansive library of 86 recognizable items categorized across Kitchen & Dining, Furniture, Electronics, Clothing, Toys, and even specific Vehicles or Locations.
  • Configurable Hunt Parameters: Demand the retrieval of anywhere from 1 to 5 distinct items per morning. You can also enforce strict time limits (from a rapid 30 seconds up to 3 minutes) or set it to infinity for a stress-free hunt.
  • Live AI Verification: Features a real-time, privacy-first ML scanning interface equipped with an on-screen flashlight toggle and camera flipping capabilities to perform fast, reliable object recognition exclusively on your device.
  • Dynamic Failsafes: Automatically randomizes the requested item from your selected pool each morning to prevent cheating. Features a built-in 'Pick again' fallback button if the requested item is genuinely hidden or lost in your home.

How to Setup

  1. Within the Alarm Stop Challenges menu, select 'Treasure Hunt' to open the configuration hub.
  2. Tap 'Select items' to browse the 86-item visual library and check the boxes next to objects you own.
  3. Configure the 'Items to find' (1-5) and select a 'Time limit' constraint if desired.
  4. Save the challenge to activate the ML engine for your next wakeup.

Use Cases

The Bathroom Migration: Select exclusively bathroom-related items (like 'Sink' or 'Bathroom'). The app forces you to walk into the washroom to scan the sink, effectively bypassing sleep inertia and starting your hygiene routine immediately.

Morning Cognition Boosts: By selecting a large pool of 20+ random items and requiring 3 to be found under a 60-second time limit, you actively engage your brain's problem-solving and memory centers the second you wake up, instantly destroying grogginess.

On-device AI requires clear visibility. Ensure your room is well-lit (use the in-app flashlight toggle), center the object within the green scanning brackets, and hold the device relatively steady for a second to allow the frame processor to focus.
